One of the most beloved icons at the Singapore Zoo took its last breath on Wednesday, 25 April 2018. Inuka was the world’s first polar bear to be born in the tropics. Since his birth, he has captured the hearts and imaginations of Singaporeans and foreign visitors alike.

I was an offline editor on this episode alongside Rein Zahrein. The turnaround on this got a bit crazy. We cut the first two thirds of the episode when Inuka was still alive. The day he was put down, we had to rush out the last third of the episode in time for the evening news. We mobilized 3 editors in the office to work on the same episode simultaneously (thanks, AVID and NAS). Someone from the TV station was standing in the edit bay watching that final progress bar.
In addition to editing the first third, I also helped online and colour grade this.
